Dear Smurfs and Smurfettes,It gives me great pleasure to announce the launch of a new label – SISTERsister - featuring handmade jewellery by myself (Maria McHugh) and a clothing line to be added soon by my sister (Lorraine McHugh)!
We’ll be holding our first stall on Sunday 9th November at the Backyard Market on Brick Lane (London, E1)! There’ll be bubbles and nibbles, and of course, lots of lovely things for you to look at! ;)
My collections are inspired by all things vintage and kitsch – rare charms, unique buttons, beautiful stones and handmade pieces. Each piece of jewellery I make is unique and made to last – I don’t use any plated chains or links in my work – I want it to last forever. Nothing worse than your favourite piece rusting or tarnishing! I use sterling silver, antique brass and rare enamel chains. I want the things I make to be a bit special for whoever gives them a home.
I can also make something especially for a present – if you tell me the style/colours – I can make a special gift for you. :D
So, maybe see you there - Sunday 9th November at the Backyard Market at the Truman Brewery (next to 93 Feet East).
Lots of love,
SISTERsister
